The Fred Bigelow 100k Challenge is a memorial fundraising event that takes place throughout the month of November. All proceeds go to Fred’s favourite charities of choice: The Cumberland Community Forest Society and United Riders of Cumberland. Please follow this link to learn about Fred and the history of our event.

Your goal is to complete 100 kilometers of the Comox Valley, B.C. You can run this or walk this! Hike this, bike this, ski this, or paddle this! Get out there and explore, mixing and matching your disciplines.

The courses will be of your choosing and anywhere in the Comox Valley, from Deep Bay to Oyster River, Mount Washington to Hornby Island. It is expected that you will choose many different locations for your workouts. Please take photos! Be proud of what the area has to offer, and show it off!

You are asked to join a special CVRR Strava club where you will upload each workout you complete along with photos of your route/activity. At the end of November, we will verify your distance using Strava. The club link will be available on October 31, 2022.

All registered participants who complete 100 kilometers or more will receive a hand stamped metal mantra shoe tag specially designed for this event and hand-crafted by Metal Mantra Jewelry.
