RUN, AND BE PART OF BRITISH COLUMBIA HISTORY
On BC Day, as part of Comox Nautical Days celebrations, Comox Valley Road Runners will be holding a 4 Mile Road Race through the streets of Comox. This race can claim the record of being the longest continuously held running road race in British Columbia. It starts at 9.00 am on Monday August 5th 2018 at Comox Town Hall, 1809 Beaufort Avenue, Comox. Registration is available online through Race Roster, https://raceroster.com/24509 or on the day at the Town Hall between 8.00 – 8.45 am.
Fees are $10 for online registration, and $15 on the day of registration. Register as a 2-person team for $20 online or $30 on the day, or for a 4-person team for $40 or $60 on the day. Fees include tasty post-race refreshments and some exciting draw prizes.
This event is family orientated, with the majority of runners participating just for fun. However, those wishing to take the event seriously will be challenged with a fast course over an unusual distance (4 miles = approximately 6.5 kilometers).
For those not wishing to race, you can take in the finish and then watch the parade as both occur on Comox Avenue. The remainder of the day is full of fun, family orientated activities.
Proceeds raised from the race are used by Comox Valley Road Runners (CVRR) to support many local charities. More than 50 CVRR volunteers are actively involved in helping this race be safe and successful.
Join us in a fun race as part of a great holiday event and support your local community.
