
5K Running Clinic 2022
Happy New Year, Happy New Lifestyle!
Take advantage of the 35th annual 5K Running Clinic to start your year off on the right foot. The Comox Valley Running Club (CVRR) offers supportive clinic groups for walkers, walk-runners, runners, and racers.
The 5K Running Clinic encourages a multi-level progression – from couch potato to active walker, active walker to runner, or runner to racer. If you’re a runner already, learn to run more often, becoming faster and stronger! Regardless of your fitness level, you will participate and progress with others who are at your walking or running level. You will fit right in!
This year’s virtual clinic will feature a weekly Saturday run and Wednesday guest speaker talk on Zoom.
- Over a period of ten weeks, you will gradually increase the distance you cover, up to 5K.
- You will learn from specialists in the community about topics such as: footwear, nutrition, injury prevention, cross training and more.
At the end of the clinic, participate in the virtual CVRR 5K Fun Run to see how much you have progressed.
New for 2022: Every clinic graduate qualifies for a FREE mini trail running clinic. Take your running from roads to trails, and prepare for your first Cumby run/race, a premiere local fundraising event held on May 7, 2022.
