Hello Cumby fans,
New Cumby Racers? Thank you for checking our website! For those who have raced or volunteered with us in the past 10 years, thank you for your support. YOU have made a difference. We are stoked to enter the second decade of hosting the The CUMBY on May 2, 2026.
As we are building our race offerings and increasing to four races, our new theme for Cumby 2026 is, “Every racer gets a hill (or two).”
We will continue to host our iconic Full Cumby with bit of a change in the route. Our Half Cumby is 16 km, and the Quarter Cumby is an 8.5 km romp along Eastern Block undulating single track. New this year is our shortest course to welcome our youth and new trail runners and walkers. We’re looking for a name!
The Cumberland Hills always provide a lot of well…hills, and our routes this year will be completely runnable. The start of the race will allow for competitors to spread out before heading up…you know, a hill.
We plan to meet at Race Central at Village Park once again under the cover of those magnificent Douglas Fir trees.
Our commitment to the Cumberland Community Forest never wains. With your help, for the past few years, we have handed over post-race cheques for more than $40,000. The total that The Cumby has gathered through registrations and donations over this past decade is over $268,000!
Our organizing committee is very eager to welcome youth and families to our races and particularly to our newest 4.5 km race. We keep the registration fees low for all children and youth under 19 years. We are committed to supporting the next generation of trail runners and racers.
