CVRR Members Past & Present: Marguerite Masson

Another guest post:

“Hi. My name is Marguerite Masson.  I have been running since my kids were small – about 45 years ago !!

I started running by pushing an English pram around a fairly large block in Merville. With the encouragement of John Crouch and Bent Harder, I joined CVRR and raced my first race on Denman Island- probably walking 1/2 of it.

I persevered and grew to love running – road for many years – short and long. I ran about 35 marathons and 3 ultras. I loved the relays!

Switched over to trail maybe 20 years ago and have stuck with that.

I think my favourite part is just being outside, usually in the woods, and training. I much prefer the training to the racing!! I plan to continue for a long time. Marguerite

Marguerite! You are so modest. You forgot to mention how awesomely fast you were on those races. 😂

I sent a bio many days ago to the “social” email. Maybe I said something “controversial”? 😂
