Nautical Days 4-Miler 2026
We can’t wait to see you at the 56th annual Nautical Days 4-Mile Foot Race on BC Day, August 3rd, 2026!
What better way to celebrate British Columbia’s birthday than to take part in a BC legacy event! The 56th annual Nautical Days 4-Mile Foot Race is the oldest continually held running race on Vancouver Island. Young and old have charged through the streets of Comox on BC Day since this fantastic event started in 1971.
The 4-mile (6.4km) distance is geared toward the whole family, offering fun and challenge for all race levels. Leaving the start line in downtown Comox, the rolling streets offer stunning views of the Salish Sea and Beaufort Mountain Range. Butchers Road offers a spectacular stretch, shaded by a mix of Douglas fir, pine, and other native species, to give you the feeling that you are running through a forest. The course offers a prime downhill finish along Church Street – that gentle, perfect grade, so you can really open up if you wish to finish faster than you started!
Online Registration: Online registration is strongly encouraged; it really helps race organizers!
Please register online before 1:00 PM on August 2nd.

Race Day Registration: Available from 7:45-8:30 AM @ Race Central – CASH only.
- $10.00 – 17 and under
- $15.00 – 18 and over
Race Day Check-In for ALL RUNNERS: Monday, August 3rd from 7:45-8:30 AM @ Race Central (Comox Ave & Port Augusta St), even if you picked up your bib on August 2nd.
Race Start: 8:45 AM @ Comox Town Hall (1809 Beaufort Ave)
- Race must be completed by 10:00 AM, so no walkers please
- Under 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult
- No dogs, earbuds, or strollers
- There will not be water or washrooms at the start line; please use washrooms at Marina Park
Race Route:
Roads are not closed to traffic during the event, so please follow the instructions of signage and our course marshals.

Post-Race:
- Awards at 9:45 AM
- All registrants are eligible for various draw prizes from our local sponsors. You must be present to win.
- Food and water are served to all racers at the finish area located at 1770 Comox Ave (the corner of Comox Ave and Port Augusta St.)
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE TO THE FINISH – we will not be providing cups.
- The Nautical Days Parade begins at 10:30 AM and flows right past our finish site, so you are invited to stay and join in on the day’s activities.
